"Papa's Partners" was the name of our team for the Arlington Alzheimer's walk. It was a fund-raising, family-and-pet friendly walk through the UT Arlington campus to honor or in memory of a loved one with Alzheimer's. My own sweet Daddy has declined more in the last three months than he has the last two years since his diagnosis. It's no wonder Alzheimer's is called the "long good-bye." It's just an awful thing to happen to someone to anyone, esp. when they still know what it happening to them. If you're ever given the chance, please walk, give, or do whatever you can to fight this horrible disease.
