Last week end we spent looking at what will need to be done at the new house, getting estimates, etc. The work starts this week...painters for the cabinets, roofers, garage door repair, etc. The house is 18 years old and in most ways, it is in great shape. It had already been updated with marble countertops, new appliances, faux finishes, and new paint throughout; however, that made the 90's antique cabinets stick out a lot! This week end, we bought blinds for the several windows that were wide open. Irby and Danny put them up yesterday and today. We also went through boxes in the garage and now have almost everything in the right rooms. After the kitchen cabinets, bathroom cabinets, and our closet are painted this week, we can start really unpacking! With working and Irby gone during the week, things are going fairly slowly. We're looking forward to Thanksgiving week to have several days at one time to work.
Danny is going to kill me for posting this one picture, but it's just too priceless!! It was taken on my cell phone Saturday night while he and Irby were hanging blinds. The others were taken by Phyllis on Sunday. We are SO blessed to have them - they're always there to help!!!
