Day 3 - Old Middleton Distillery tour & on to Waterford

The house pictured above was on the way to Waterford. The cows...well, the cows are interesting. Several years ago, Matthew taught Benjamin a game that his fraternity played where you get so many points for "calling" the cows. As we drove by this herd, B. rolled down his window and yelled this blood curdling call. You can imagine our surprise because we knew nothing about a cow game until this! And guess what? The cows looked up and began to move toward the van! Benjamin texted Matthew immediately to tell him, to which Matthew responded, "EXCELLENT!" (It was very funny, but it may be one of those things, you had to be there!)

Irby, Kim, and Benjamin wanted to take the distillery tour, so Joyce and I shopped nearby and Daddy took a power nap! Our Blarney host, Pat Coughlan, the same man in the video below who gave us directions to Cobh, told them not to appear to be in the same group during the distillery tour if you wanted to be chosen as a taster at the end. Irby, Kim, and Benjamin followed his directions, and sure enough, they all were chosen to be tasters! They enjoyed their tour. The process appears fascinating and takes many years.
