Matthew & Jordan are home from Vietnam! Thank you for many prayers for their safety the past 2 1/2 weeks, as well as for the months of preparation beforehand. We appreciate the kindness and love you have shown to them and to us.
They fell in love with the Vietnamese people and are anxious to visit and tell us about it!! But first...sleep. When they arrived, they'd been awake nearly 40 hours and were desperate for sleep. Irby flew in to DFW from Santa Barbara while they were at DFW for a 5 hour layover to Tulsa. Irby took them to Admiral's Club for lunch and quiet place to wait!
The recent airport emergencies affected them a little but thankfully, they learned about the new luggage restrictions just before leaving their Ho Chi Minh City hotel and were able to pack accordingly. Irby checked his luggage for the first time Friday because of the new restrictions
...and you know...Murphy's Law? It didn't arrive! It's had to be couriered to us from Longview. An airline would have a hard time locating Irby for a long enough period to deliver a suitcase to him during the week! He says he'll never check luggage again and do without amenities, feels like hotels will start offering more complete pkg. of amenities because of the restrictions.
