Coxes in NYC Dec. 27, 2007 - Jan 1, 2008

Just after Christmas this year, our family went to NYC for 5 days. We had a wonderful time. We saw 3 Broadway shows..."Mary Poppins," "Curtains," and "Young Frankenstein." The very first evening we saw the "Rocketts' Christmas Show" at Radio City Music Hall. Wow! We shopped Canal Street (Jordan and I had a bit of excitement there, right Matthew, Benjamin, and Irby?) as well as many the Upper East Side stores and SoHo. We visited the NYC Fire Dept Museum, which was really awesome. The Metropolitan Museum was enjoyed as well. We braved a 5 hour wait and the cold on New Year's Eve to see the ball drop in Times Square! The ball is disappointingly small, but the crowd was fun and actually pretty well-behaved! A young couple we had visited with the entire evening got engaged at the stroke of midnight...another reason to celebrate!

The show was amazing! This bus drove onstage
with the Rocketts on board, rotated on a circular
platform while showing scenes of NYC, then
drove off stage at the end of the number.

Serendipity - you haven't lived until you've had
dessert here! The wait is long (3 hours) unless
you have reservations, but worth it! If you've
seen the movie "Serendipity" with John Cusack
and Kate Beckinsale, you've seen this place.
